Sofia Michelle Natural Cosmetics is a brand and product line created and created by Zsófia Gera-Mihály.
First on my own skin, then on the skin of my family and friends, I experienced the unpleasant symptoms of dry skin, eczema, itching and allergies caused by the invasion of modern society with cosmetics containing synthetic substances, chlorinated water, dry skin caused by various environmental influences, and the frequent use of synthetic substances.
It is now well known that synthetic substances used in beauty care include preservatives, fragrances, sunscreens, emulsifiers are also present, which can damage the skin in particular, but also the whole body. It has also become clear that synthetic substances created by cosmetic chemists do not behave in quite the same way as active ingredients in plants, which also have a harmonious combination of other components.
In search of a solution to skin problems, I started to delve deeper into the world of natural cosmetics.
Growing up in the countryside, where my family farmed (and still farms), I was able to learn about the healing power of medicinal plants from my grandparents and parents.
I often used the various lotions my grandparents gave me as symptom relief solutions when the synthetic products bought in the shop or often given as gifts, which were a curiosity at the time, made itching or redness unbearable. Of course, at the time I didn't really understand the reasons why some synthetic products could cause such symptoms, but now it's obvious to me.
I wanted to expand the knowledge I had gained by experiencing these. In addition to my degree in agricultural engineering and economics, I attended further training courses and lectures, read numerous documents and articles on the subject and consulted experienced professionals already familiar with the subject. In the early 2010s, I completed my training as a Phytotherapist Naturopath and later qualified as a beautician and became a Master Cosmetician.
In the meantime, I have become fully committed to the use and later the production of natural cosmetics.
I was attracted by the naturalness, herbs, skin care and the desire to create, so it was obvious that yes, I wanted to create a cosmetic product that worked well, using different plant ingredients and modern active ingredients to help others with their skin problems or their eternal battle with age. I started researching new things, studying new procedures. Then the product development began. I always loved experimenting with recipes, listening to experiences and feedback, which led to the final products based on the best and most suitable formulation. As a cosmetician, I looked at products differently than before. It was then that I started to see better - both as a user and as a cosmetician - what there was still a need for. I had a completely different approach to products than before. I believe it's very important to keep evolving. The testing took a lot of time and effort, but it allowed me to know for sure that the products were based on the opinions and needs of real users.
